Recently excavated dead stock copies of this obscure Japanese Flexi disc 7” from Yukihiro Sugimori and Yasuaki Nagami’s Q Radio project released sometime in the late 80’s or early nineties. Who knows! Very little information to go off online and still not on discogs. The A-side runs a pretty forgettable, very naive bedroom wave track that doesn’t do a lot for me, whilst the surprise, mezmerising B-side is a mediative mix of reflective, minimalistic and softly played gamelan notes mixed with environmental recordings – the murmur of villagers, crashing of waves and chirping of sea birds all coming for a totally transportive, pulse-lowering, 6-minute mind holiday. All thanks to @pianolarecords for this one! (NM/NM – Deadstock copies – some have slight warp but play fine.. ask if unsure – comes with download).
