One of a kind 3LP ethnographic boxset documenting the activities of Japanese Goze, who are visually impaired travelling musicians active mostly throughout the Niigata region region of Japan. Their stripped back and emotionally-intense improvised folk songs focus on sexually explicit content laced heavy with innuendo, double-love suicides or other dramatic / taboo content. Genuinely one of the most jaw-dropping and revelatory ethnographic boxsets we’ve ever encountered. (NM – 3LP – with booklet // insanely rare even in Japan)
